1934 - 67' Classic Motor Yacht

The finest addition to the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club in 1934
(from Boats & Harbors June 1934 edition)

This ship is the first of the Robert Allen Sr. line.
Superior quality, built first as a Ship, then well appointed as a Fine Yacht.
Teak, Cypress, Glasgow Bronze with a Gardner Diesel and 2000 mile range.

Meander is a historic ship.
Originally built for George Kidd Esq. owner of the Vanvouver Power Company and head of the Board of Trade. He wanted a ship that would carry him anywhere... from Glacier Bay to his ancesterol home in Glasgow Scotland.
Serving as FY11 during WWII, she was equipped with a 50 Caliber Machine Gun doing picket duty.
During the 1950's and 60's, Meander worked as a United Church Missionary Vessel up and down the West Coast of Vancouver Island.
In 1977 she acted as Greenpeace IX stopping supertankers from coming into B.C. waters and blockaded nuclear submarines from going into Hood Canel.

Meander
Meander is an ocean going yacht and a  fantastic coastal cruiser, large enough for  comfort and small enough for exploring  and tight anchorages.
